Open Session on Importance of ICT in Auto Component Sector 6th April’ 2010, Pune

In continuing efforts to promote awareness of IT in auto component sector, ACMA and NASSCOM jointly formed Core Group on IT and took up few Pilot Projects, which are now complete with the support of IT partners provided by NASSCOM.

To showcase their findings from these Pilot Projects and to provide best solutions to implement IT in auto component sector, an “Open Session on Importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in manufacturing” was held on 6th April’ 2010 from 1500 hrs – 1930 hrs at Courtyard by Marriot, Hinjewadi, Pune. The event outlined “how manufacturing companies can use IT for their advantage to cut costs and to add valuable new capabilities”.

The rate of change in manufacturing today is faster than ever.  Customers demand flexibility and responsiveness, regulatory oversight is on the rise, and increasing consolidations require companies to demonstrate cost and efficiency improvements.  Information Technology for Manufacturing describes how IT can help manufacturers effectively respond to all of these challenges.

The event included the common strategic errors and pitfalls as well as success stories of the NASSCOM -ACMA Pilot Project. The participants had the privilege to meet up with experts from Arteria, KPIT, Openbravo, Tata Technologies, Wipro and discuss solutions that address the unique challenges faced by their enterprise. The program was specially designed for CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, Practice heads and IT Heads of the companies.
