Any risk, whether opportunity or threat, requires a response from your business. This is what keeps the money rolling in. Whether it’s a planned or unplanned risk, your business resilience is what differentiates your response to this risk. If you respond inappropriately or too slowly, you could lose ground to your competitors.
Often there is confusion between Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Typically Business Continuity plans describe how an organization can recover and resume business operations following a disruptive incident. By contrast, Disaster Recovery plans describe the steps to take to recover and restore normal operations to IT infrastructure elements, such as networks, servers, data centers, operating systems, applications and data.
Understanding Business Resilience
Resilience is the ability of a business or organization to return to its original operational status after it has been impacted by a disruptive or disastrous event. Read more →
We hear a lot about the ease of cloud, the flexibility of cloud – the ability to cut down on your costs and consume only what is required. The correct term would be “cloud bursting”. If this were that simple, then every business would be queuing up for this opportunity. They would not have to spend time, resource and money on significant and complex cloud migration projects.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity for a New World
Disaster recovery is more than just a strategy in your business continuity plans. It is a crucial part that will get your business back online in the event of any natural or manmade disaster. What most organizations don’t realize though is that the right disaster recovery solution will also deliver IT resiliency.
Zerto is more than just replication and DR. Zerto provides enterprise-class disaster recovery and business continuity software specifically for virtualized data centers and cloud environments. It is offers enterprise workload mobility, from a product that works exclusively in the virtual layer. That means they can move applications and data, in a consistent state, in a few clicks, with just a minute or so of disruption and also between different hypervisors and clouds.
Cloud DR is the basis for deciding when, where and how to move your business to cloud. With Zerto, effective DR is possible within the private cloud, to the public cloud and in the public cloud.
Zerto partners with Sysfore, the leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to offer a cloud based business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) service, enabling businesses of all sizes to protect production applications both to the cloud and in the cloud. Having extensive Cloud DR expertise, Sysfore offers Zerto Cloud DR Ecosystem and services powered by Zerto Virtual Replication (ZVR) 4.0 — a platform for secure, non-intrusive, cloud-based BC DR for private, hybrid and public clouds.

How does Veeam Connect works
Veeam Cloud Connect presents your customers with a “cloud host” that they can replicate VMs to:
Your customers simply click “Add Service Provider” from the Veeam console and enter the credentials you’ve given them.
Their cloud hosts appear in their Veeam infrastructure.
There are no VPN, no separate consoles. Using the cloud hosts, customers can provision them on demand, without having to maintain a second site. This is exactly like other replication targets. Veeam Cloud Connect includes multi-tenant support, requires only a single port, and securely transfers data over SSL/TLS (no VPN required).
Why Veeam is better?
No dependency on third-party software – You only require a hypervisor, without additional technology for network extension, WAN acceleration, etc, as everything is available right out of the box. Multi-tenancy is even built in, so you can securely host multiple customers on the same hardware, with complete isolation between tenants.
Expedited onboarding – A single port is all that’s needed. Veeam Cloud Connect encapsulates and encrypts all network traffic – for management, replication and even inter-VM communication – to securely transmit data over a single port using SSL/TLS. There’s no need to set up and maintain VPN connections or open multiple ports.
Automated network reconfiguration – Eliminates the high cost and headaches of reconfiguring networks for DR testing or full or partial failover. Veeam network extension appliances preserve communication with and between running VMs regardless of their location.
Bandwidth friendly features – Seeding, Built-in WAN Acceleration and more allow you to provide DRaaS to customers with slow or unreliable WAN connections or a large number of VMs.
Wide market coverage – You can offer DRaaS to any customer regardless of the storage, applications and operating systems they use as Veeam replicates at the hypervisor layer. It supports both VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
